Structural Dependence
Are we still capable of sustaining one another?
With fire, culture was born. Fire and love walked together through the finest aspects of our evolution: ritual, care for one another, the sense of community. Fire made language possible. Language made love possible.
Alone and together we move forward, back to back, traversed by that circle of emptiness that persists within every union. The lack that also defines us.
Let us honor that ancestral fire: the one that shelters, engenders life, tempers, and illuminates.
